PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Sophomore Thaylen Harrison went 3-for-3, and senior Jake Tatro pitched a complete game to lead the Drury baseball team to a 6-3 win over previously unbeaten Pittsfield on Thursday at Clapp Park.

Tatro struck out four, walked three and scattered eight hits in the victory.

"Again, time after time, senior leadership like we always have in this program," Drury coach Patrick Boulger said of Tatro. "He stepped up, took the ball and said, 'Let me go after it, coach.' He's a bulldog."

The victory gave Drury (10-3) a berth in the Western Massachusetts tournament and its second win in a row.

"Obviously, you go down and play a eam like Pittsfield, a quality team, wonderfully coached with players who are quality and get a win to qualify, it's a great feeling," Boulger said. "This is why we play the game and work every day and believe in the program and believe in how we do things around Drury baseball."

Logan Rumbolt went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, and Tatro helped his own cause by going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Shane Garvey, Kirby Bryce and Schuyler Robinson each had a hit for the Blue Devils.

Boulger said Drury will enjoy a well deserved day off on Friday before getting back to practice to prepare for a busy week that opens on Monday at Taconic and includes a rematch with Pittsfield and games against Wahconah and Monument Mountain.

"We have an expression in Drury baseball: We're happy, but we're not satisfied," Boulger said. "It was a great feeling getting on that bus [back from Pittsfield]. It gives us a lot of confidence, but we are not satisfied.

"That's a key statement for our program. We feel we're playing better ball and jelling as a program."
