Potash Pitches Pittsfield Past Mount Greylock

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Hunter Potash struck out seven, and the Pittsfield baseball team Monday bounced back after giving up two runs in the top of the first to earn a 6-2 win over Mount Greylock.
 
Potash went the distance on the mound, throwing 101 pitches and scattering six hits.
 
He also helped his cause by going 2-for-3 at the plate and scoring a run.
 
Carter Matthews and Joe Traversa each went 2-for-4 in a seven-hit Pittsfield attack.
 
Oscar Lowe went 3-for-4 and scored a run for the Mounties.
 
Mount Greylock (7-6) hosts Lenox on Wednesday.
 
Pittsfield (14-2) goes to Cooperstown, N.Y., on Wednesday to play Pope Francis.
