Pittsfield's Mullin Earns No-Hitter

DALTON, Mass. -- Pittsfield’s Eddie Mullin no-hit Wahconah Monday to earn a 3-0 win.
 
Mullin struck out six and did not walk a batter, needing just 74 pitches to retire 21 hitters.
 
Owen Gutzmer was 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, and Luke Mele drove in a run for Pittsfield’s offense.
 
The Generals made the most of the five hits they got from Gutzmer, Owen Kroboth, Patrick Rindfuss and Mullin, who also scored a run.
 
Shane Bernardo took the loss, striking out a pair in a complete-game effort.
 
Wahconah (2-5) is at Mount Greylock on Friday.
 
Pittsifeld (5-2) is at Lee on Wednesday.
