PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Jake Jachym struck out three and scattered five hits in a complete game effort Wednesday as the Westfield baseball team defeated Pittsfield, 6-1.

The Bombers broke open a 1-0 game with five unearned runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Luke Mele singled and scored the lone Pittsfield run, which came home on a Cam Sime sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Patrick Rindfuss started on the bump and was the hard-luck loser, allowing just one run and striking out four in four innings. Tyler Gaudette and Kaleb Contini each pitched in relief.
