Sime Throws One-Hitter as Generals Get Back to .500

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Cam Sime Saturday threw a complete-game one-hitter to lead the Pittsfield baseball team to an 8-0 win over Monument Mountain.
 
Tommy Mullin and Patrick Rindfuss drew back-to-back bases-loaded walks in the top of the third for all the offense the Generals needed. Chase Racine’s sacrifice fly to center completed a three-run rally for Pittsfield in the inning.
 
Walker Abdallah went 1-for-4 with an RBI and scored a run to lead Pittsfield’s offense.
 
The Generals generated their runs with four hits and 11 walks.
 
Sime, meanwhile, walked just one and struck out six to earn the win.
 
Cole Bissallon had the lone hit for Monument Mountain.
 
The Spartans (10-2) host Mount Greylock on Monday.
 
Pittsfield (6-6) have won four of their last five heading into Monday’s rematch with Westfield at Bullens Field.
