PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Chase Racine hit a two-out double to drive in Tommy Mullin in the bottom of the seventh and give the Pittsfield baseball team a 4-3 win over Belchertown on Monday in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B tournament.

Mullin drew a one-out walk and raced around the bases to score from first on Racine’s double to right field as Pittsfield (10-8) clinched a berth in next week’s state tournament by winning its second straight one-run game.

The victory sets up a rematch with third-seeded Monument Mountain on Thursday at Clapp Park. The Generals won the teams’ regular season meeting, 8-0, on May 7.

Cam Sime earned the win on the mound on Monday, striking out nine, walking none and allowing no earned runs.

The Generals made the most of their five hits.

Connor Lavinio had two of them, driving in a run. Sime and Patrick Rindfuss each drove in a run.
