HATFIELD, Mass. -- Austin Rachiele went 3-for-5 with two triples Saturday to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 14-3 win over Smith Academy.

 

Cedric Rose was 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and three runs batted in as Taconic racked up 12 hits behind winner Christian Womble.

 

Womble did not allow an earned run in five innings of work, striking out six and scattering four hits. Mitchell DeCelles supplied two innings of scoreless relief.

 

At the plate, Womble went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

 

Taconic (3-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
