McCormack Injured in Road Loss for Mt. Greylock Lacrosse

MANCHESTER, Vt. -- Mount Greylock senior Michael McCormack scored three goals and had two assits, but he left the game early in the second quarter with an injury, and the Mounties dropped an 11-9 decision to Burr & Burton Academy on Saturday.
 
Liam Chenail scored twice for the Mounties, who also got goals from Reilly Parker, Cole Hughes, John Driver and Sean McCormack.
 
Michael McCormack set a Massachusetts record for single-season scoring last spring in leading Mount Greylock to a Central-West Division 3 championship.
 
On Saturday, Cal Filson stopped 13 of the 24 shots he faced. The Mounties drew seven penalties that led to six man-up goals for the Bulldogs.
 
Mount Greylock (4-1) takes on Taconic on Monday in Pittsfield.
