Chenail, McCormack Lead Mount Greylock Boys Past Mount Anthony

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Liam Chenail scored five goals as the Mount Greylock boys lacrosse team completed a "border war" sweep for the Mounties over Mount Anthony Union with a 15-11 win on Friday.
 
While the boys were tangling north of the border, the Mount Greylock girls were busy earning a win in Williamstown over the Patriots.
 
Chenail also set up two goals for a total of seven points on the day.
 
Michael McCormack led the Mounties in points with 10 on four goals and six assists.
 
Reilly Parker also score four times for Mount Greylock, which got a goal apiece from Cole Hughes and Thomas Astle.
 
Cal Filson went the distance in goal, stopping 13 shots.
 
Jackson Thibodeau stopped 23 shots for Mount Anthony, which trailed, 5-1, after one quarter and played the Mounties even the rest of the way.
 
Mount Greylock (11-1) returns to league play on Monday with a trip to Cheshire to take on Hoosac Valley.
