Haley Scores Six to Lead Hoosac Boys Past Pittsfield

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Nate Haley scored six goals, and Justin Meczywor socred four to lead the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team to a 19-5 win over Pittsfield on Wednesday.
 
The victory, Hoosac Valley's ninth, secures a .500 record and a berth in the Central/Western Massachusetts tournament for the Hurricanes.
 
Carson Meczywor and Lucas Waterman each scored a pair, and Casey Meczywor had two goals and five assists.
 
Justin LaBelle had two goals and an assist for the Generals, who got goals from Jacob Brazeau, Shawn Soper and Seamus Hayes.
 
Pittsfield (4-8) goes to Lee on Monday.
 
Hoosac Valley (9-4) hosts St. Mary's on Thursday.
