SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Dart Jaggi scored seven goals Monday to lead the Wahconah boys lacrosse team to a 26-3 win over Springfield Central in the season opener for both teams.

 

Billy O'Neill scored five goals, and Ernie Lampron, Dayton Kozlowski and Luca Burgess each had a hat trick in the win.

 

Kozlowski also assisted on five goals.

 

"It was a great team win," first-year Wahconah coach Joe O'Neill said. "The kids played hard and made the right looks. The defense played really well, and we did very well at the faceoff spot as a team."

 

Wahconah goes to Chicopee Comp on Friday.
