Mount Greylock Girls Lax Uses Balanced Scoring to Win Opener

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Carolyn Jones scored four goals Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team to a 19-1 win over Lee in the season opener for both teams.
 
Zoe Armet and Sarah Polumbo each had a hat trick.
 
"Lee played hard, but Mount Greylock benefitted from a core of experienced girls," Mounties coach Steve Jones said. "Mount Greylock had nine different players score, including many first-year varsity contributors.
 
Tabor Paul scored a goal with an assist from Brianna Kelly for Lee.
 
Lee hosts Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
 
Mount Greylock goes to Pittsfield on Monday.
