LEE, Mass. -- Hoosac Valley's Karyssa Charon scored six goals and set up four more Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to an 11-10 win over Lee.

Lauren Davis and Emma Meczywor each scored a pair of goals, and Emily Godfrey stopped 15 shots in the Hurricanes' goal to earn the win.

"It was a hard-fought game, with offense dominating the first half and defense dominating the second half," Lee coach Dave Galisa said. "Lee jumped to an early lead with Hoosac coming back to tie it at 8-8 in the first half.

"With just over 4 minutes left in the game and the scored tied, Hoosac took the lead by intercepting a clearing pass and scoring."

Brianna Kelly scored five goals for the Wildcats, who got two goals from Abbey Boyd and two assists from Kelly Nicotra.

Eleanor Kropke and Daylonna Deane split time in the Lee goal, combining for seven saves.

Lee (0-2) goes to Wahconah on Monday.

Hoosac Valley (1-2) hosts Mount Greylock on Monday.
