CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The Hoosick Falls, N.Y., girls lacrosse team Monday came from behind in the second half to earn an 8-7 win over Hoosac Valley.

“We played flat in the second half and even though we had the lead, we were unable to stop their quick cuts,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “We also had too many penalties today.”

Ali Mendel and Aubrey Rumbolt each scored twice, and Claudia Bresset had a goal and two assists for the Hurricanes, who got four saves from Abi Disbrow.

Hoosac Valley (4-3) goes to Lee on Tuesday.
