DALTON, Mass. -- The Belchertown girls lacrosse team came back from a 5-3 deficit to take a 10-7 win over Wahconah on Monday afternoon.

Emmy Cote scored four goals, and Perin Genaway had a goal and two assists to lead Wahconah (4-2).

"We played a nice first half and then came out slow in the second," Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. "Both teams played hard. They had some very nice transition goals. We got tired in the second half and turned the ball over more than we should have."

Becky Steele, Jordan Budaj and Hannah Rueger each had a goal for Wahconah, which got nine saves from Katie Bachli.

Wahconah hosts Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
