Cote Scores Seven as Wahconah Girls Top Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Emmy Cote scored seven times and set up three goals to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to an 18-9 win over Pittsfield on Tuesday.
 
McKenna McIlquham had a hat trick, and Perin Genaway and Hannah Rueger each scored twice for Wahconah (12-3).
 
“Today, Pittsfield played a great game against us,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “They came out in the second half and worked hard. It is nice to see how they have grown since the first time we met.
 
“We worked hard for the goals we got and our midfield transition was very good.”
 
Jaycie Salvie, Mya Wiles and Ashley Rufo each scored for PHS, which got seven saves from Anna Quinto.
 
Katie Bachli made five saves for Wahconah, which hosts Lee on Thursday.
 
Pittsfield (2-11) hosts Hoosac Valley on Thurdsay.
