DALTON, Mass. -- Wahconah freshman Claire Naef scored in overtime Monday night to give the girls lacrosse team a 9-8 win over Mount Anthony Union.

"What a great game both teams," Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. "Everyone left it all on the field."

Jilly Cote scored four times, and Chloe Accardi had a hat trick.

Sydney Smith earned the win between the pipes.

"In the first half we were sloppy on our transition and kept giving them the ball back," Budaj said. "We did a much better job moving the ball.

"The girls stayed composed at the end of regulation and got a shot at the end that just went wide to force the OT."

Wahconah (6-1-1) takes a five-game winning streak into Wednesday's rematch against Hoosac Valley, which earned a win in the teams' first meeting back on April 5.
