Wahconah Girls Lax Gets Balanced Scoring in Win over Lee

DALTON, Mass. -- Hannah Bowlby and Jilly Cote each scored two goals and registered an assist to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 10-3 win over Lee on Tuesday night.
 
Sydney Smith made nine saves to earn the win between the pipes, and seven different players scored for Wahconah.
 
“We were able to have many girls contribute to the game tonight,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Our defense played well and our offense was more dynamic. 
 
“Both goalies made some very nice saves.”
 
Taryn Paul made eight stops for Lee, which got goals from Nicole Gamberoni, Lauren Kinne and Maya Kollmer.
 
The Wildcats (1-6) host Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
 
Wahconah (7-2-1) hosts Springfield Central on Thursday.
