Mount Greylock Regional School senior Emma Polumbo was named the most valuable player of the Berkshire County Girls Lacrosse League in a vote of the league's coaches.

Polumbo, a senior midfielder, was joined by four of her Mount Greylock teammates on the all-league first team: senior attack Lauren Howard, freshman attack Carolyn Jones, senior midfielder Caroline Flynn and senior defender Kristen Aliberti.

Hoosac Valley also placed five players on the first team: junior attack Claudia Bresett, junior attack Brooke DiGennnaro, junior midfielder Alie Mendel, senior defender Skylar Case and senior goalie Abi Disbrow.

Rounding out the first team are Lee junior midfielder Lauren Kinne, Wahconah senior midfielder Hannah Ronayne and Pittsfield sophomore defender Sierra Murray.

Named to the second team were: Mount Greylock’s Clare Sheedy, Brook Masse, Brooke Phelps and Autumn Delorey; Pittsfield’s Summer Jadallah and Ella Korte; Lee’s Shannon Finnegan, Ann Macchi and Khali Zabian; and Wahconah’s Jillian Cote and Suzanne Stefanik.

The league’s coaches also hosted a county all-star game last week at Hoosac Valley High School.

Polumbo scored three goals and assisted on another, and Disbrow made 11 saves to lead the Yellow team to an 11-5 win over the Pink.

Bresett also had a hat trick, and Murray scored a pair of goals for the Yellow.

Flynn and DiGennaro led the Pink team with a pair of goals apiece. Anna Quinto and Sydney Smith combined to stop five shots in the Pink goal.
