FISKDALE, Mass. -- Carolyn Jones scored six goals, and the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team Tuesday held off a furious Auburn comeback to earn a 10-8 win over the third-seeded Rockets in the Central/Western Massachusetts Division 2 semi-finals.

The 10th-seeded Mounties (11-10) had an 8-0 lead going into half-time, and they needed most of that cushion to win their fourth straight game and reach their second straight sectional championship game.

Jayden Johnson stopped seven shots to earn the win between the pipes.

Jones set up two goals, as did Sarah Polumbo.

And Mount Greylock got a goal apiece from Claire Sheedy, Brook Masse, Brooke Phelps and Emma Stevens.

Thursday's Central/Western Mass final is a rematch with top-seeded Bromfield (18-2), which beat the Mounties in last year's sectional final.
