LEE, Mass.-- Taryn Paul made nine saves Monday as the Lee girls lacrosse team defeated Pittsfield, 9-7.

McKenna Hammerle, Shannon Finnegan, Khali Zabian and Lauren Kinne each scored a pair of goals, and Nicole Gamberoni had a goal and an assist for the Wildcats.

“I was very happy how the team responded after falling behind by two quick goals,” Lee coach Dave Galisa said. “After that our defense settled down and Taryn made several key saves. The second half, Pittsfield mounted a comeback and our offense did a good job controlling the ball and securing the win.”

Sierra Murray scored four goals and set up three more, and Anna Quinto stopped four shots for Pittsfield.

The Generals (2-6) go to Springfield Central on Tuesday.

Lee (2-6-1) goes to St. Mary’s on Friday.
