Lynch Leads Lee to Narrow Win over Gateway

LEE, Mass. – Bri Lynch tripled in the winning run in the bottom of the sixth to as the the Lee softball team edged Gateway, 3-1, on Monday.

 

Lynch’s triple to left drove in Kylie Joyce, who reached on a leadoff single, to break a 1-1 tie.

 

Lynch later scored on Makayla Schuerer’s RBI single.

 

Joyce went 2-for-3 with an RBI, driving in Kamryn Renata to give Lee a 1-0 lead in the first.

 

In the circle, Lynch struck out seven to earn the win.

 

The Wildcats (3-0) go to Putnam on Wednesday.
