Mount Greylock Softball Downs Drury

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Meredith Dezieck homered to help lead the Mount Greylock softball team to a 7-2 win over Drury on Tuedsay afternoon.
 
Dezieck's round-tripper came during a four-run second inning that broke open a 2-2 game for the Mounties (1-0).
 
Rachel Voller and Dana Clement each had a couple of hits for Mount Greylock, which also got a double from Kendal Frye.
Heather Tomkowicz struck out six to pick up the win in the circle.
 
Drury pitcher Cat Record was hurt by a couple of errors in Mount Greylock's second-inning rally.
 
At the plate, Record singled and scored to help the Blue Devils take a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Alli Brassard singled and scored the other run, and Jordan Vanuni had a sacrifice bunt during the rally.
 
Drury (0-1) will look for its first win on Thursday when it travels to Wahconah.
Mount Greylock hosts McCann Tech on Friday.
