Mount Everett Softball Returns to Action, Takes Loss
SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Chicopee’s Jordyn Kazeroid Tuesday held Mount Everett to three hits in a 17-0, five-inning win over the Eagles.
The Pacers jumped on top early with six runs in the top of the first inning and added seven more in the second.
“We dug a hole today that was too much to climb out of as a collective group,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “Our last game was April 17 versus McCann, so a little rust is expected, but we just couldn't get ourselves going in the right direction today. Plain and simple Chicopee made the plays and put the ball in play and we didn't, leading to the loss.”
Aliyah Creamer went 2-for-3 at the plate for Mount Everett (2-5), which hosts Ludlow on Thursday.
