SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Abbie McQuaid went 3-for-3 with a double at the plate and allowed just two earned runs in the circle to lead the Ware softball team to a 15-4 win over Mount Everett on Monday.

Emma Goewey hit a solo home run for the Eagles, who got two hits apiece from Makayla Carpenter and Tonilyn Smith.

“We left a lot of base runners on today and were missing that key hit with runners on,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “The hardest part is the potential is there, we just need to execute better and shore up some things on the defensive end.”

Mount Everett (0-3) hosts Southwick on Thursday.
