SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Sarah Hough struck out 12 and allowed just three hits Wednesday to lead the Southwick softball team to a 13-0 win over Mount Everett.

The Rams ace needed just 56 pitches to earn the complete-game win in the circle.

“Our girls were struggling with adapting to the speed and only had a couple opportunities to score,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said.

“I told the girls this will probably be one of the better pitchers we face this season, so we need to keep grinding in practice and start to put together a complete game on offense and defense. We will practice tomorrow working on some of those things and play at Lee Friday.”

Mariah Broderick struck out 10 but gave up 10 hits and nine walks in taking the loss for the Eagles (0-4).
