NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Makayla Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs Thursday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to a 5-4 win over McCann Tech on the Hornets’ Senior Day.

Emma Goewey also went 3-for-4 in a nine-hit Mount Everett attack.

Julia Devoti went the distance in the circle for the Eagles, not allowing an earned run.

“Although we were on the losing end, this was a great game,” McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said. “Unfortunately, we left too many runners on base. Mount Everett played great defense. Overall just a great game to honor the seniors from both teams.”

Emma Moser went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in to lead McCann Tech’s offense.

Nora Moser took the loss in the circle, striking out seven in a complete-game effort.

McCann Tech (4-11) goes to Drury on Tuesday.

Mount Everett (5-10) hosts St. Mary’s on Monday.
