Schettini Homers as Taconic Tops Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Rylee Paronto went 4-for-4 at the plate and pitched a complete game in the circle Saturday as the Taconic softball team completed a season sweep of rival Pittsfield.

 

Paronto drove in three runs in the win.

 

Defensively, she allowed nine hits but just one earned run.

 

Leena Schettini homered and drove in a pair of runs for Taconic, which got two RBIs apiece from Ella Stodden and Isabella Hadsell.

 

Kamryn Renata hit a solo homer for the Generals, who got a 3-for-4 day from Mia Arpante, who doubled and drove in a run.

 

Mia DeJesus went the distance in the circle for Pittsfield, strikin out three and allowing seven earned runs.

 

The Generals (11-5) host Hampshire on Monday.

 

Taconic (9-6) hosts Wahconah on Monday.
