Maloney, Paronto Homer for Taconic in Win over Mount Greylock

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Audrina Maloney and Rylee Paronto each homered in a 12-hit attack for the Taconic softball team on Wednesday as the Thunder outslugged Mount Greylock for an 11-9 win.
 
The teams combined for four home runs and seven extra-base hits.
 
Maloney and Paronto each went 2-for-3 with a home run and a pair of RBIs. Leena Schettini and Maddie Harrington also had two hits apiece for Taconic.
 
Paronto earned the win in the circle, striking out 12 and walking two.
 
Kami Sweet went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple and five runs batted in to lead Mount Greylock.
 
Malia Koffi added a solo home run. Emma Newberry went 3-for-4 with a triple and a double, and Brodi Rosier was 3-for-4 with a triple.
 
Sweet went the distance in the circle for the Mounties, striking out a pair and walking four.
 
Mount Greylock (4-2) goes to Turners Falls on Friday.
 
Taconic (4-0) is at Mahar on Thursday.
