Hoosac Valley Softball Rallies Late to Top Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. — Lauren Faucher drove in a pair of runs in a five-run sixth inning that lifted the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 7-5 win over Mount Everett on Wednesday.
 
Rylan Witek, Madi Puppolo and Rylie Bishop each had a hit for the Hurricanes.
 
In the circle, Puppolo struck out 10 to earn the win.
 
Faith Angell had eight strikeouts for Mount Everett, which got a pair of hits apiece from Gwendolyn Carpenter and Emma Gowey.
 
Hoosac Valley (16-2) hosts Mount Everett (10-7) on Thursday in an independent game.
