Puppolo Pitches Hoosac Valley Softball to Win Over Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Madi Puppolo struck out 11 hitters, and the Hoosac Valley softball team scored five runs in the first inning en route to a 6-4 win over Taconic on Thursday.
 
Rylie Bishop went 2-for-3 at the plate, and Puppolo was 2-for-4.
 
The Hurricanes recorded three hits and cashed in on two Taconic errors in that first-inning rally.
 
Anna Bongini went 3-for-4 and scored twice for Taconic. Rylee Paronto was 3-for-3 with a triple and drove in two runs.
 
In the circle, Paronto struck out eight.
 
Taconic (1-3) goes to Mount Greylock on Saturday morning.
 
Hoosac Valley (2-0) hosts Mount Everett on Saturday.
