Codding Leads Mount Greylock in One-Run Win over Pittsfield

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Jordyn Codding went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock softball team to a 9-8 win over Pittsfield.
 
Abbey Whitley doubled and drove in three runs for the Mounties, who scored six runs in the bottom of the first to erase an early four-run deficit.
 
A.J. Pelkey also doubled and scored a pair of runs in the win.
 
Kamryn Sweet earned the win in the circle, allowing just one earned run in seven innings of work.
 
Mia Potash went 2-for-3 with a triple for Pittsfield. Mia Alfonso went 2-for-4 and drove in a run.
 
Jordynn Bazinet took the loss for the Generals after striking out four and walking three.
 
Pittsfield (4-3) goes to Lenox on Saturday.
 
Mount Greylock (6-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Friday.
