Agawam Softball Doubles Up Pittsfield

AGAWAM, Mass. – Lauren Champigny went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in Friday to lead the Agawam softball team to a 12-6 win over Pittsfield.

 

Agawam jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first and put the game out of reach with a five-run fifth to take a 10-1 lead.

 

Mia Arpante, Jordynn Bazinet, Ava Brazeau and Sophia Santos each doubled for the Generals.

 

Bazinet took the loss in the circle, allowing just six earned runs in a complete-game effort.

 

Pittsfield (1-2) goes to Mount Greylock on Monday.
