Hampshire Softball Downs Pittsfield

WESTHAMPTON, Mass. – Joss Mettey struck out eight and scattered four hits in a complete-game, five-inning effort as the Hampshire Regional softball team Monday defeated Pittsfield, 15-3.

 

Hampshire scored seven times in the bottom of the first and scored nine unearned runs with the help of six Pittsfield errors.

 

Natalie Arnhold homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Generals, who got a double from Maddy Creamer.

 

Pittsfield finishes the regular season 10-8 and learns Thursday when and where it will begin play in the upcoming PVIAC Western Mass Class B tournament.
