Devoti Powers Eagles Past Lenox

LENOX, Mass. – Julia Devoti went 3-for-4 with a triple at the plate and threw a complete game in the circle on Monday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to a 15-2 win over Lenox.
 
The victory gave Mount Everett 10 wins on the season and secured it a place in the state tournament.
 
Devoti struck out five and walked one in earning the win.
 
She got plenty of offensive support as the Eagles pounded out 17 hits.
 
Emma Goewey went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs. Allison Steuernagle went 3-for-5 with a double. Emily Steuernagle was 3-for-5 with an RBI and scored three times.
 
The Eagles broke the game open with a seven-run seventh inning.
 
Lenox got a 3-for-4 day at the plate from Evelyn Julieano, who doubled and drove in a run. Amaya Alger went 2-for-3 with a double.
 
The Millionaires (10-7) host Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
 
Mount Everett (10-5) is at Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.
