LENOX, Mass. -- Madi Puppolo threw a five-inning no-hitter Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 27-0 win over Lenox in the teams’ season-opener.

 

Rylan Witek went 3-for-6 six with a triple and a pair of doubles, and Puppolo and Kelsey Wohrle each tripled in a 19-hit Hurricane attack.

 

Puppolo struck out six and walked just two in the circle.

 

Juliana Johansen went the distance in the circle for Lenox, striking out five.

 

The Millionaires go to Putnam on Thursday.

 

Hoosac Valley hosts Mount Everett on Thursday.
