ACTON, Mass. -- Sarah Keagy went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Lauren Meinhold struck out six to lead the Acton-Boxborough softball team to a 6-1 win over Pittsfield on Thursday.

 

Szofia Lewis went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and the Generals collected six hits against Meinhold.

 

Acton-Boxborough was ahead 5-0 after five innings.

 

Tess Lyon struck out one and allowed five earned runs for the Generals.

 

Acton-Boxborough went 19-3 last year en route to the Division 1 North Sectional quarter-finals.

 

Pittsfield (2-1) goes to Taunton on Friday.
