NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Megan Goyette earned her 400th career strikeout, and the McCann Tech softball team beat Lee, 18-11, on Thursday to earn its 10th win of the season and qualify for the Western Massachusetts tournament.

 

Goyette threw 1-⅓ innings, striking out two and allowing two hits. Chasity Lillie earned the win in the circle, scattering eight hits and allowing five runs. Aryian Quinones threw two-thirds of an inning.

 

Kalley Vanuni went 2-for-3 with a triple and drove in three runs, and Kiera Kupiec, Caitlin Nicol and Rebecca Poulton each doubled in the win.

 

Kylie Joyce went 4-for-5 with a triple, and Katelyn Clark was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Wildcats.

 

Lee (2-10) goes to Lenox next Thursday.

 

McCann Tech (10-2) goes to Putnam on Friday.
