DALTON, Mass. -- Elena Iovieno went 2-for-4 with a home run and five runs batted in on Friday to lead the Wahconah softball team to a 17-0 win over Pioneer Valley.

 

Wahconah scored 14 runs in the second inning to put the game away and tacked on runs in the third and fourth.

 

Louis Carkuff and Katelyn McCormack each had three hits in a 17-hit attack for Wahconah.

 

In the circle, Taylar Hickey allowed thrree hits and struck out seven while walking none to earn the win.

 

Wahconah (4-1) makes a road trip east to Westborough to face Burlington on Monday afternoon.
