
DALTON, Mass. – Harper Keay went 2-for-3 with a triple, and Marlee Arnhold scattered four hits in a complete-game effort in the circle Monday as the Wahconah softball team beat Pittsfield, 10-0, in the regular season finale for both teams.
Madison McCarthy also tripled, and Sydney Payson (3-for-4) and Kenadi Arnhold (2-for-4) each doubled in an 11-hit attack for Wahconah.
“We played a complete game from the first pitch to the final out,” Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. “Everyone contributed to a good win against a quality team.
“Great way to finish the regular season as we get ready for the state tournament.”
Marlee Arnhold struck out six and walked none in the win.
Nevaeh Lopez went 2-for-3 for Pittsfield, which got six innings in the circle from Gionnah Levardi.
Wahconah (10-10) and Pittsfield (7-12) both learn Wednesday who they will open against the Division 4 State Tournament.
