NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Haley Malloy struck out 10, and Taylor Sprague went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 18-6 win over Sabis on Wednesday.
The victory marked the first win for the Hornets on their new varsity field at the high school.
Julia Esoldi went 2-for-3, and Alanza Quinones doubled and drove in a pair of runs for McCann, which improved to 4-9.
"We are coming together as a team and continue to improve," McCann coach Robin Finnegan said. "I am looking forward to a bright future for McCann."
In the near future, the Hornets travel to Easthampton on Friday.
