PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield softball team defeated Watertown, Conn., Tuesday afternoon, 4-1, for the Generals' 10th win and a berth in the Western Massachusetts tournament.

 

Allie Hunt scored two runs for the Generals, Haley Tobin and Alex Desrochers each scored one.

 

Julia Murphy pitched seven innings throwing seven strikeouts and allowing just two hits.

 

Pittsfield (10-0) plays Mount Everett on Wednesday at 4 in Sheffield.
