    The Wahconah softball team was on top of its game on Wednesday, collecting 13 hits and playing error-free softball on its way to a 6-1 win over Hoosac Valley in the semifinals of the Division 2 Western Mass. tournament.

    Sophomore Tori Rumbolt came through in a big way for the Hoosac Valley softball team on Thursday. Her three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning helped erase a two-run deficit and lifted the Hurricanes to a 10-7 win over Frontier in quarterfinals of the Western Mass. tournament.

    The offense of the Hoosac Valley softball team pounded out 22 hits, while the defense played error free in Thursday's 16-1 win over Lenox in the Hurricanes' regular-season finale.

    The Hoosac Valley softball team busted out for eight runs in the first two innings, and starter Amanda Meczywor held Taconic to just five hits, leading the Hurricanes to a 11-1 win at home on Wednesday.

    Mount Everett starter Alicia Bazonski got the better of Hoosac Valley's Amanda Meczywor in a pitching duel between two of Berkshire County's best hurlers, leading the Eagles to a 5-1 win on the road on Tuesday.

    Sophomore Ashley Ciepiela stepped up in a big way for the Hoosac Valley softball team on Monday, going 3 for 3 with five RBI while also picking up the win on the mound in the Hurricane's 8-7 home win over Lee.
  • May 13 - 'Canes Keep Wildcats Around in Extra-Inning Defeat
    The Hoosac Valley softball team had four different leads against Lee on Friday but could never slam the door on the Wildcats, who eventually won the game 10-9 in the bottom of the 10th inning.

    The Drury softball team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after one inning against Hoosac Valley on Thursday and never looked back as freshman pitcher Cat Record allowed just one unearned run in a 5-1 win at home.

    The Mount Greylock softball team put the pressure on by scoring a run in the top of the eighth inning, but Hoosac Valley responded by plating two runs in the bottom half of the frame to earn a 5-4 win at Russell Field on Monday.

    Samantha Howe, Sabrina Sommer and Carly Kondel each had two hits, and the Hoosac Valley softball team took control of the game with a five-run fifth inning on its way to a 7-3 home win over Monument Mountain on Saturday.

    It took 10 innings for the Hoosac Valley and Mount Everett softball teams to settle the score on Tuesday night. In the end, the Eagles' Alicia Bazonski was just slightly better from the circle than the Hurricanes' Amanda Meczywor, leading Everett to a 1-0 win.
