 DALTON, Mass. -- Kevin Huban scored 24 points Tuesday to lead the Wahconah boys basketball team to a 73-58 win over Hoosac Valley in the first round of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.
Four players finished in double figures for fourth-seeded Wahconah (16-5), which moves on to host No. 12 Murdock (15-6) on Friday in the sectional semi-finals.
Tom O’Connor scored 18 points. Zak Bernardo and Luke Hescock added 15 and 10, respectively.
Carson Meczywor scored 21, and Izaha Stubbs added 15 for the 13th-seeded Hurricanes, who finish the season 10-11.
