Field Leads Canes to Quick Start, Win over Wildcats

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Frank Field scored 11 points in the first quarter Saturday to help the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team jump out to a 26-9 lead en route to a 75-43 win over Lee.
 
Field finished with 20 points to lead Hoosac Valley, which had four players finish in double figures.
 
Joey McGovern scored 19. Kamarion Kastner and Adan Wicks finished with 12 and 11, respectively for the Hurricanes, who led, 55-19, at half-time.
 
Ben Kelley scored 16, and Ben Cooper had 10 points for Lee (2-10) goes to Franklin Tech on Monday.
 
Hoosac Valley (7-4) hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
