LEE, Mass. -- Evan Heath scored 22 points to lead the Lee boys basketball team to a 62-46 win over McCann Tech on Friday night.
“It was a great team win tonight,” Lee coach Eric Cardinal said. Everyone did their job and contributed. I was happy with the defensive effort in slowing down the Tovanis and Bruce Davis. We communicated more we played with intensity and wanted it more.”
Davis led McCann Tech with 13 points, and Darius Tovani and Lucas Jamros added nine apiece for the Hornets, who got five from Darian Tovani.
Lee’s Declan Drozd scored 11. Cole Redstone added seven.
“The energy we received off the hustle plays from Cole Redstone and Jack Purcell was huge for us as they both ended  with 13 rebounds each,” Cardinal said. “Lastly, I was very happy with the backcourt contribution. Evan Heath continuing to score but tonight Declan Drodz stepped up on both sides of the ball.”
Lee (4-7) hosts St. Mary of Westfield on Monday.
McCann Tech (6-5) looks to snap a three-game skid on Monday when it travels to Westfield Tech.
