LEE, Mass. -- Colin O’Brien led three players in double figures for the Lee boys basketball team on Monday in a 64-45 win over St. Mary’s of Westfield.

Declan Drozd scored 14, and Evan Heath added 12 as the Wildcats improved to 5-7 this winter.

“Tonight was a team effort with nine of 15 players scoring,” Lee coach Eric Cardinal said. “I was happy with our offense running the floor and our plays as well as spreading the ball around offensively.

“In the second half, it was nice to see other players such as Colin Durken (six points) and Tag Roosa (five points) show up and give key minutes with their defense and offensive efforts. I wanted to keep fresh legs on the floor as we play three games in five days against some tough opponents so my plan was to go to the bench early.”

Lee hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
