Howland, McCann Tech Boys Clinch Share of League Title

LUDLOW, Mass. – Jacob Howland scored 31 points Thursday to lead the McCann Tech boys basketball team to a 59-52 win over Ludlow.
 
“Big win for us tonight,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “We clinched at least a share of the Tri-County [North] Championship.”
 
Walter Mazza scored all nine of his points in the key fourth quarter, when the Hornets outscored Ludlow, 21-19, to hold off a comeback attempt.
 
Cole Boisvert also scored nine, and Owen Gagne added eight in the win.
 
Matt Mendez scored 16 to lead the Lions.
 
McCann Tech (10-3), which also clinched a berth in the state tournament with the win, hosts Ludlow on Saturday.
