Monument Mountain Boys Use 3-Pointers to Get Past Eagles

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Caden Gidarakos scored 15 points on Thursday to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 64-22 win over Mount Everett.
 
The Spartans (12-4) took control of the game in the second quarter, when they outscored the Eagles, 23-5.
 
Included in Gidarakos' total were three 3-pointers. He was one of three Spartans to post a trio of triples; Marco Buffoni and Kyle Wellenkamp also did so to finish with nine points apiece.
 
Connor Hanavan drained a pair of 3s on his way to a 10-point night. Devin Hanavan scored nine.
 
Ben Moteleone scored nine to lead Mount Everett, which got seven from Cooper Rothvoss and six from Jack Carpenter.
 
Monument Mountain hosts Taconic on Friday night.
 
Mount Everett hosts Taconic on Saturday.
