NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Junior Shaquille Ardrey scored 31 points to lead the Taconic boys basketball team to a 72-66 win over Lenox in the sixth annual Berkshire County Boys Basketball Coaches Versus Cancer Showcase on Saturday afternoon at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' Amsler Campus Center.

Trayvon Sims added 19 points and 12 rebounds for Taconic, which used a 10-5 run early in the fourth quarter to open a 62-55 lead  and never let the Millionaires get closer than four points the rest of the way.

Andrew Vickery scored 17 and added 12 rebounds for Lenox, which used a 10-0 run of its own that spanned the third and fourth quarters to erase most of a 52-40 Taconic lead.

But Taconic regained control after Mike Taylor fed Jake Hescock in the post to make it 54-50 and spark the run that gave Taconic some breathing room down the stretch.

It was an eight-point Taconic lead with about a minute left before Bailey Patella's 3-pointer and a free throw by Ben Herrick got the Millionaires within four with 42 seconds left. But Brad Reardon made two big defensive rebounds, and Ardrey hit a pair of free throws down the stretch to ice it.
